The young woman’s ovaries are stimulated, using fertility hormones, over 10-12 days to produce a number of eggs. The process also requires vaginal ultrasounds are used to visualize the maturing eggs.  The eggs are kept frozen until the young woman is ready to have children. At that time the eggs are thawed, fertilized to make embryos using partner or donor sperm and the embryos are implanted in her uterus. This process can be performed before or after the completion of treatment.
