Paediatric and adolescent fertility preservation requires professional integration across the adult and paediatric sectors, across all tumour streams, and across disciplines. The Paediatric and Adolescent Fertility Preservation Task Force was developed in 2012 at the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne, in collaboration with the Royal Women's Hospital. Our aims are to develop clinical and ethical governance around paediatric and adolescent fertility preservation;  to improve patient-parent-provider communication; to integrate psycho-oncology and supportive care into the programs; to undertake academic programs which collect long-term safety and efficacy data; in order to improve oncofertility care in children and adolescents.
