The H Foundation will host the 10th annual Goombay Bash on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at Navy Pier.
The Foundation—comprised of a volunteer group of LaGrange-based business owners and friends—has donated approximately $3 million to support basic science research at the Lurie Cancer Center. Promising to be the best bash yet, the Caribbean-style party will feature live music and entertainment, great food, and a live and silent auction.
The lighting industry and Residential Lighting Magazine recently honored Horton's Home Lighting of Lagrange, IL with the inaugural Showroom of the Year Award for Exceptional Community Involvement. Horton's owner and H Foundation Board member John Rot said, "We are so proud and humbled to receive this award, and truly share it with everyone involved with the Goombay Bash. The incredible support of the lighting 'community' has been a vital part of our achievements in raising funds for cancer research."
