Education Forum II: Oncofertility: Preserving Fertility for Patients with Gyn Cancers

Recent advancements in the field of fertility preservation, particularly oocyte cryopreservation, have made parenthood after cancer feasible. As a result, this year's Annual Meeting will feature a plenary session devoted to this germane topic, including a lecture by one of worlds authorities Dr. Nicole Noyes (NYU Langone School of Medicine). Her lecture will provide an overview of this burgeoning field as well as highlight several salient points specific to the GYN oncologist. It is a "must see" for all practitioners who treat reproductive age women.

- Learners will be able to identify how oncofertility services can address specific needs of cancer patients interested in pursuing future pregnancies.

- Attendees will learn practical aspects of oncofertility services.

Abstract 4: 4:00 p.m. - 4:08 p.m. -  An International Series on Abdominal Trachelectomy: 101 patients and 28 pregnancies. 

Abstract 5: 4:09 p.m. - 4:17 p.m. - Thirty-four successful cases of pregnancy following fertility-preserving hormonal therapy for endometrial cancer. 

Abstract 6: 4:18 p.m. - 4:26 p.m. - The Impact of Chemotherapy and Fertility-Sparing Surgery on Recurrence of Serous Borderline Ovarian Tumors: A Multi-Institutional Study of 491 Patients.  

Presentation by Nicole Noyes, MD - 4:26 p.m. - 5:15 p.m. Fertility Sparing Education/Egg Freezing.This year’'s education program aims to develop, maintain, and improve the competence, skills, and professional performance of women’'s cancer healthcare professionals. It will provide quality, accessible and effective educational experiences that address gaps in professional practice.
