Gender and Sex Diversity Subcommittee
The Gender and Sex Diversity Subcommittee is composed of healthcare professionals and researchers who are interested in the fertility-related care needs of transgender individuals, and individuals with differences/disorders of sex development (DSD). We are made up of a variety of pediatric- and adult-focused professionals from a range of backgrounds. Specialties/areas of focus currently represented include: endocrinology, urology, psychology, ethics, clinical research, gynecology, and oncology. We also have involvement from patient advocacy groups. The Gender and Sex Diversity Subcommittee is open to anyone who is interested in the fertility-related care of individuals who are transgender and/or have a DSD. We meet yearly at the Oncofertility Consortium Conference, and collaborate on research and other scholarly endeavors throughout the year. Recently, the group published a paper in the Transgender Health journal.
