Clinic for Gynecology and Obstetrics, Clinical Centre of Serbia, School of Medicine, University of Belgrade

Clinic for Gynecology and Obstetrics, Clinical Center of Serbia  is a site of Association of Gynecologist and Obstetricions of Serbia, Montenegro and Rebuplic Srpska  which is a FIGO MEMBER. The Clinic was founded in 1923 as a part of Medical School of Belgrade. They perform the following services annually:

• 100,000 exams in outpatients departments per year
• 26,000 hospitalizations
• 7,000 births per year, 2500 SC
• About 7000 various operations per year, 1300 laparoscopic
• 400 IVF cycles per year and all followd service mentioned bellow

The Clinic also serves as a back up institution for wide spectrum of gynecological and obstetricial complications from whole country and region of Montenegro and Rebulic srpska.  We founded multidisciplinary team for Cancer and Human Reproduction-Oncofertility board  in 2011 because more than a one third of female patients had gynecological cancer, but still wanted to preserve fertility.   It was founded through project of Ministry of Health. Because of the trend in delayed childbearing in conservative surgical procedures, in operative treatments of gynecological cancer were performed in a lot of a cases, including trachelectomy and ovarian transposition, but we also performed ovarian tissue cryopreservation and other mentioned procedures, owing to the facts that we have department of assisted reproductive technique with IVF labaratory.  We also performed fertility sparing procedure in patients  with early stage of endometrial cancer, as also with EIN ( adenocarcinoma of endometrium in situ) and atypical hyperplasia of endometrium treating with medication protocols as also minimal invasive surgery (hysteroscopically).  We also had Symposium  named Cancer and Human Reproduction, which took place in Belgrade in 2014. This event was supported by ESGO ( european society of gynecological oncologists)  and assemled many fertilty sparing scientists from all over Europe.  At our Clinic, there is also Council for Psychology that supports all patients faced with cancer and reproduction.
