An exciting OPEN announcement from our partners in Canada. Eileen McMahon, a nurse practitioner at Mount Sinai Fertility in Toronto was recently named the Vice President of the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society (CFAS). This is the first time a nurse has held this position. Eileen McMahon is a Nurse Practitioner at Mount Sinai Fertility and an Adjunct Lecturer in the Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing at the University of Toronto. Eileen graduated from the University of Toronto with a baccalaureate degree in Nursing Science, a Masters in Nursing, and a postMaster’s Nurse Practitioner degree. She is involved in all aspects of fertility nursing, but focuses primarily on fertility preservation for oncology and gender diverse individuals. Eileen was recently appointed Vice President of the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society (CFAS) by the CFAS Board of Directors, and the decision was ratified by the CFAS membership. This is the first time in the history of CFAS that a nurse has held the position of VP and next year Eileen will become the first nurse President of CFAS – groundbreaking! A huge congratulations to her on this accomplishment!!
