New Survey: Safety of Ovarian Tissue Cryopreservation (OTC)

We would like to invite you to participate in a research study conducted by investigators at Duke University Medical Center in conjunction with the Pediatric and Adolescent Committee (formerly the Pediatric Initiative Network) of the Oncofertility Consortium. This study aims to examine current practice patterns and provider perspectives regarding ovarian tissue cryopreservation (OTC).

Study Title: Safety of Ovarian Tissue Cryopreservation: Practice Patterns and Provider Opinions

Ovarian tissue cryopreservation is an increasingly utilized fertility preservation option for pediatric, adolescent, and young adult patients at risk for treatment-related infertility. As its use expands, institutional practices regarding patient selection, safety considerations, counseling, and implementation may vary.

The goal of this study is to better characterize current institutional practices and provider perspectives regarding the use and safety of OTC. By gathering perspectives from clinicians involved in the care of pediatric, adolescent, and young adult patients, we hope to identify areas of practice variation, better understand current approaches to OTC implementation, and inform future evidence-based practice recommendations.

Participation consists of completing an online REDCap survey and is expected to take less than 15 minutes. Participation is entirely voluntary.

Incentive: Participants who choose to provide contact information will have the option to be entered into a raffle for a $20 gift card. Providing contact information for the raffle is voluntary and is not required to participate in the study.

Confidentiality: Survey responses may be submitted anonymously. Any identifying information requested is entirely voluntary. Information provided in the survey will not be linked to your computer, email address, or other electronic identifiers. No patient information will be collected.
