Establishing relationships with global partners is a key to the Oncofertility Consortium’s continued success. As such, the Consortium developed the Oncofertility Global Partners Network and works with reproductive specialists from all over the world in an effort to better serve children, adolescents and young adults with cancer and other fertility-threatening diseases. This robust network currently includes representatives from six continents, including 24 different countries. Global Partners receive tools and guidance to set up their own consortium and current members have been working on a variety of different projects including native language translations and the preparation of a second manuscript.
One of the greatest benefits of joining the Consortium is that, for no cost, Global Partners have access to a vast network of professionals, including Dr. Teresa Woodruff, where everyone is willing to share experiences, materials, research protocols and ideas. Another major benefit of membership is the ability to use any and all of the existing printed and web-based materials. Many of our members are just starting out, and with limited time and resources, this enables them to focus on accelerating the quality of oncofertility research and practice, rather than re-creating the wheel.
This includes:
- The iSaveFertility mobile app that can be used by physicians when meeting with their patients.
- The myoncofertility website for patients, parents and partners
- Any of the materials on the main website
- Branding materials are also available to all global partners.
In order to facilitate interaction among members, we host the annual Oncofertility Conference and monthly Virtual Grand Rounds. To learn more about the Oncofertility Global Partners Network or to become a member, email Lauren Ataman-Millhouse at lauren.ataman@northwestern.edu
